The interary also includes a visit to Monument Valley, including "four corners", the only place in the U.S where you can stand in four states at once (Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah)
Day 1 & 2- Arrive in Las Vegas, you can either stay at a casino hotel on the strip (I'd recommend the Flamingo Hilton, or Harrah's for value and location), or you can stay at any hotel off the strip. There are lots of ways to spend your day here, shopping at the Forum Shops at Ceasars' Palace, eating at the many wonderful restaurants, casino buffets (best value: Harrah's) Kids will enjoy the roller coaster at New York / New York.
